Private label pool floats allow retailers, resorts, promotional companies and lifestyle brands to sell inflatable products under their own name. Depending on the project, customization can include a printed logo, exclusive color combination, original pattern, branded insert or complete retail package.
Before requesting a quotation, buyers should understand the difference between private labeling an existing product and developing a fully custom inflatable. This guide explains the main decisions involving artwork, printing, packaging, minimum order quantity and production approval.
Choose an Existing Product or Custom Design
The fastest private label option is usually an existing product structure with customized printing or packaging. Because the shape and construction have already been developed, sampling and production preparation may be simpler than creating an original shape.
A completely new inflatable can provide stronger brand differentiation, but it may require technical drawings, pattern development, mold or tooling preparation and additional sample revisions. Buyers should choose the option that matches their budget, launch schedule and expected order quantity.
Prepare Logo and Artwork Files
Provide the manufacturer with a vector logo file when possible. AI, EPS, SVG or print-ready PDF files are easier to scale without losing quality. Specify Pantone references for important brand colors and show the preferred logo position on the product.
Ask for an artwork proof before sample production. The proof should identify dimensions, printing areas, colors and orientation. Printing on curved or inflated surfaces can look different from a flat screen, so the physical sample remains the final approval reference.
Select a Printing Method
The suitable printing process depends on the product material, number of colors, artwork coverage and order quantity. A small logo may use a different process from a full-surface pattern. Ask the supplier about color tolerance, print durability and any design limitations before approving artwork.
Keep important text and small graphic details away from seams, valves and highly curved areas. Clear production artwork reduces revisions and helps the finished design remain readable after inflation.
Plan Private Label Packaging
Packaging options may include a poly bag, branded card, insert sheet, color box, barcode label, warning label and repair patch. Retail buyers should confirm the information required by the destination market before printing packaging.
Packaging affects carton quantity, shipping volume and unit cost. Ask for the packed product dimensions, pieces per carton, carton measurements and gross weight before approving the final package.
Understand MOQ and Sampling
Private label MOQ can vary according to the product, printing method, packaging and number of designs. Adding a logo to an existing item may have a different minimum from producing an exclusive color or original shape. Confirm whether the MOQ applies per product, color, artwork or total order.
A sample should be checked fully inflated. Review size, shape, seams, valves, printing position, color and packaging. Record approved details in writing so the sample and specification sheet become the standard for production.
Prepare for a Private Label Quotation
Send the supplier the product reference, required quantity, logo files, colors, packaging request, delivery country and target date. Complete information allows the manufacturer to estimate sample fees, unit price, production time and freight more accurately.
Ask the quotation to separate one-time development or setup charges from the unit price. Confirm sample cost, sample delivery, production MOQ, packaging MOQ and the validity period of the quotation. If several designs or colors are planned, identify whether quantities can be combined.
Private Label Approval Checklist
- Product structure and inflated dimensions
- Logo size, position and Pantone colors
- Material and printing specification
- Sample revisions and final approval
- Inner packaging, labels and barcodes
- Pieces per carton and shipping marks
- Production and delivery schedule
Keep the approved artwork, sample photos and packaging proof with the purchase order. A single approval record gives the buyer, factory and inspection team the same reference during mass production.
